The park and rec meets in one area and will transport everyone to the specific outing for the day. Social outings are also scheduled in throughout each month and include exploring new restaurants, boutiques, discovering a new city, or a local event.
  • Arboretum and Botanical Gardens; The Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is filled with over 300 acres of gardens, trails, and wildlife. Learn all about the native grasses, animals, and plants while walking though 13 different botanical gardens.
  • Farmers’ Market; Overland Park is home to one of the finest Farmers’ Markets around. Located in downtown Overland Park, the Farmers’ Market is a public gathering place that brings together the community to enjoy a multitude of homegrown produce, local foods, and specialty items. The Overland Park Farmers’ Market is open mid-April through mid-November.

  • Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead; The Deanna Rose Farmstead offers 12-acres of activities, farm animals, nature trails, butterfly gardens, fishing, and even an old fashion school house for children to enjoy. Make memories while your grandchildren while they bottle feed baby goats, go for a horse-drawn wagon ride, or enjoy a good ole-fashion ice cream cone.
  • Prairiefire; The Prairiefire district offers family-friendly attractions, restaurants, and the Museum at Prairiefire where the exhibit transitions every few months from dinosaurs to astronauts to the human body. This educational museum features world-class exhibits as well a hands-on discovery room and a virtual reality experience.
