- Chili Challenge; If Grandma’s chili recipe has been in the family for decades and you think it’s yummy enough to win a chili challenge, then Lenexa’s Chili Challenge is right up your alley. Roughly 200 teams compete in the chili, salsa and hot wings contests in hopes of winning the Grand Champion prize. Activities are held throughout the weekend including music, fireworks and a Kids Kornbread contest.
- Lenexa Senior Center; The Lenexa Senior Center offers a number of programs for seniors. Each day the center offers games such as Canasta, SkipBo, Upwords, Dominos, and Bridge as well as Nintendo Wii games. The Senior Center also offers a wide variety of trips for seniors throughout each month.
