Assisted Living communities are designed for seniors who are no longer able to safely live on their own. Residents in assisted living communities typically require assistance with facets of daily living. This can include activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, medication management and transferring assistance etc. Most Assisted Living communities provide licensed nursing services and have staff 24 hours a day for additional safety.
Residents of Assisted Living communities typically have the option of living in private apartments, however, many Assisted Living communities offer a more affordable option of shared suites. Assisted Living communities serve three daily meals and housekeeping, social activities and scheduled transportation are routinely provided.
